Becoming a member of the Confederate Legion is in effect, becoming a member of the Confederate Gideon Battalion, and it should be considered a privilege and an honor. However there are a few issues, which need to be made clear to each and every potential member, and I’d like to cover a few of them here.

Those who join our numbers are advised not to bring with them any preconceived notions as to the Confederate Legion and it’s Gideon Battalion, if you are accepted as a member; you are doing so by our invitation. Those who fail to adhere to the principles, policies and the agenda of the Confederate Legion, will find their membership terminated.

We are as the subtitle indicates a Confederate Military Ceremonial Honor Guard, there are those who advocate or are members of a Militia as well as other organizations, groups or entities, which stand in opposition to our Confederate Legion principles. If you are such an individual, you must choose one or the other, you cannot cleave to both.

It should be understood, those with any type of criminal record, or who are members of a race based, racial supremacy or civil rights organization, are not acceptable as a member. In like manner atheists or agonistics will not be accepted among our numbers, inasmuch as we are believers in the Almighty God in Christ Jesus, the Holy Scriptures and of Prayer.

Let us begin by saying it is critical, as an applicant for membership that you fully understand who and what we are, that you completely agree with us. Further that you willingly advocate the principles, purpose and mission of the Confederate Legion and of its Gideon Battalion. So take the time to read and absorb what it is that you are joining!

We would appreciate you logging onboard and reading the below webpages! Think about it, if you are not willing to take the time to do this small chore, you probably wouldn't put much effort into a Confederate Legion membership either.

After having read the material, if you concur with the Confederate Legion and its Gideon Battalion, and you are prepared to support us over the long haul, during bad times and good, and even when things don’t go your way, then we will welcome you onboard. We are looking for those who will be Brothers in the Cause, who will obey the orders of officers appointed over them.

We need activist people who will report for duty when, where, at what ever time ordered and wearing the designated uniform, with accoutrements. The struggle we wage is very serious, for it is an extension of the War for Confederate Independence, so each of us must be prepared to sacrifice.

You must understand, this is a military type organization, not a debate society and we are engaged in a long-term struggle and mission, the liberation of a nation from occupation. If you are accepted as a member, any rank assigned to you will be brevet only, since we will not have a Commander in Chief, prior to the liberation.
