A message to potential Confederate Legion Members!
The Confederate Legion is in it building phase, whereby we are now constructing a professional military organization! Therefore it is imperative for all those who join our numbers, be loyal Confederate Legionnaires. We hold no desire to build a hang out for ‘good ole boy’ or ‘good ole girls’ but rather a membership having self-discipline, military decorum, and adherence to our military chain of command and be of moral character. More then this it is critical that our members be loyal and stay the course, even to the extent of accepting the usual military discipline, which occurs from time to time.
It should be mentioned, all potential members must register with our General Staff and adhere to our policies and principles; we are a nationwide organization and not made up of separate independent chapters, but are based upon the normal military unit and ranks structure. Those who wish to see constituted a large Christian oriented Confederate Military Organization having members possessing honor and integrity; the Confederate Legion is for you. Military Veterans of all ranks and pay grades have experience, leadership and a quality of training we urgently need; the Confederate Legion welcomes you onboard!
It is the responsibility of those who become members, to believe in and advocate the principles and policies of the Confederate Legion, which are posted on our website. We believe in the un-revised history, heritage, culture and nationhood of the Confederate States of America, as well as in the filling of the valid but vacant seats in the Confederate States Government, through national elections to be arranged for that purpose. We do not believe in a New Southern Republic nor a New Confederacy but rather in liberating the Confederate States of America and restoring its government under its 1861 Constitution.
There are private organizations having claimed to be the Confederate States Government and who have taken it upon themselves to decide who is and is not a Confederate States Citizen. This is the rhetoric of a private organization and holds no validity in the real world in which we live. Once the time of the liberation has arrived, all such notions will be ignored and it is expected their memberships will drift away, as the legal and constitutional process gets underway. Nonetheless, in the meantime the Confederate Legion does not recognize the claims any such organizations.
There should be no expectation of using membership in the Confederate Legion as a position from which to recruit, solicit or advocate in behalf of other organizations. Additionally, there are those who hold strange, unusual and even opposing views, beliefs, concepts and notions, pertaining to the Confederate Cause in particular, as well as all things Confederate and Southern in General, these are unacceptable. The Confederate Legion stands separate, distinct and apart from other organizations!
Those who will join our numbers must become active and appear where and when ordered, save for illness or extra-ordinary circumstances; prospective members, upon whom we can rely, are most welcome. We are a lawful, peaceful Christian oriented Confederate Military Ceremonial Honor Guard; we are neither a militia nor an armed force. It should be noted, while I am the Founder, the Confederate Legion is governed and commanded by its Chief of Staff, his Assistant Chief of Staff through the entire General Staff.
