Welcome Onboard!
How many times have you ever daydreamed of a time yet future, when the Confederate Cause would be on the winning side, rather then constantly being pushed back ever further? Those wishing to destroy what remains of our history, heritage and culture, having already subjugated our nation, would now drive all things Confederate and Southern into extinction. However, let it be said, "No man is defeated until he himself hauls down his flag." {The Confederate Creed}. In like manner, the Holy Scriptures teaches us much about believing when it states: “…If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” {Mark 9:23}. And again it is expressed in yet another context where it says: “Where there is no vision, the people perish:” {Proverbs 29:18}.

Doorway to Glory
The concept that freedom is not free is truer then we might realize and it is a certainty in our day-to-day world that if one does not have a vision that all things are indeed possible, they have already lost the battle, but first we must dream the dream. You must envision the manner in which events must unfold, in order to make your dreams a living reality. Afterward it is necessary to act upon those dreams; otherwise they remain merely a dream unfulfilled. Far to often those seemingly unnumbered multitudes out there, that love all things Confederate and Southern, will occasionally raise a Confederate Banner or even speak in Confederate Patriotic tones. Then walk away from the situation, with no intention of taking concrete action, in order to make it happen in the real world.
The Confederate Legion was initially nothing more then a dream and a vision of a future, in which our people could look down a parade route and see more then the normal high school or college bands, drum corps and floats. If my memory serves me right it all began when, in the summer of 1996 there was a Confederate Conference in Johnston Tennessee and that same year, my family and myself attended a local holiday parade. It was during this parade that while the different units passed by, I overheard a teenage boy ask of his father: “Where are our boys” referring to the lack of any Confederate participation. That teenager’s words became my dream, whereby the day would come when we would all see long columns of ‘Men in Gray’ in pass and review.
Over a twelve years period attempts were made to muster enough people, where the Confederate Legion could be launched, but failure followed failure, still, it was my belief, that it was possible, just as the Holy Scriptures says. Then on 12 April 2006, after so many years of persistence in the face of failure, the Confederate Legion was launched. The following month on 22 May that same year, the Confederate Legion Youth Corps became a reality, with a little over 400 founding members. Now the Confederate Legion at large has approximately 20,000 members and it is all a result of keeping the faith that all things are truly possible, to them that believes and acts upon those beliefs. And it begins with having a dream and a vision, then taking action to make it happen!
However, the Confederate Legion is even now, a work in progress, and we have only made a small humble beginning, there is much more, which is still left undone, and we need your help to finish the work. If I might use the words of the late Reverend Martin Luther King, in a way he never intended; I have a dream. My dream is that of 3,000,000 loyal, trained and equipped Confederate Legionnaires, all of them having, discipline, military bearing, and are prepared to adhere to the Confederate Legion chain of command. I speak of Confederate Legionnaires, which are truly a professional Confederate Military Ceremonial Honor Guard. Ladies and Gentlemen, I want those 3,000,000 Confederate Legionnaires, not for the purpose of serving my own ego, but for the sake of generations yet unborn.
I have a dream, that everyone of you will either become a member of the Confederate Legion, Confederate Legion Youth Corps or else a witness to not fewer then 1,000,000 Men in Gray, in a pass and review and on the prime time news. It is my personal dream that in the process, we will together create such a spectacle; the entire world will stand in awe. Don’t make me wait until I have one foot in the grave, before all this comes to pass, but help me build the Confederate Legion now, as an instrument in our struggle to liberate the Confederate States of America. I don’t know about you, but I am tired of seeing only ‘those people’ on parade, it is pass the time for a Confederate demonstration of power, and to make our cause known worldwide.
God save the Confederacy

“If a man can not stand firm for honor and principle before the footmen, what will he do when the horsemen come? Shall he compromise with tyranny in order to purchase ease and comfort for a season, at the expense of his own posterity? There are many among our numbers claiming to be Confederate and Southern while having already traversed the road of treason, caused by an attitude of procrastination, compromise and complacency. He who will surrender his own history, heritage, culture and nationhood today for the sake of ease and comfort will surrender his liberty on that same alter tomorrow. In like manor, he who accepts the ways of his enemy, sells his soul to them and will in due course of time, find the price measured in blood.” --- Justin Robison
