Founding Documents
Welcome Onboard!
Some of the items posted on this page dates back the earliest days when the concept of a Confederate Legion was but a far away dream in the mind of those few who assisted in drafting the documents which would form the basic foundations. The concept from the beginning was to remain completely within lawful, peaceful and honorable perimeters while at the same time reconstituting those long gray lines of men in gray, with the support of our Southern Belles. We have used the term 'Confederate Military Ceremonial Honor Guard!
These entries should be studied in order to understand the totality of the Confederate Legion mission and purpose. It had been made clear from the beginning that we are not creating a militia nor an armed force, therefore anyone who proposes to transform the legion in such a manner is rejected from membership. In essence we are entertainers while at the same time carrying the mantle of our history, heritage, culture and nationhood, carrying the symbols and honor of our nation, the Confederate States of America.
Those who may consider joining our numbers are strongly advised to read, thereby gaining an understanding of the Confederate Legion. Membership in the legion is not recommended for the 'good ole boys' who might attended meetings and participate only when the spirit moves. In like manner those who seek personal aggrandizement should consider other options then the Confederate Legion. We seek those who have a deep sense of personal honor and principle who are willing to sacrifice for the cause.
The vast majority of the documents posted on the page are indented for the here and now, while others such as the 'Confederate Code of Military Order' looks forward to a time after the liberation has been achieved lawfully, peacefully and honorably. A time when like other nations the Confederate States of America will naturally have developed the forces with which to defend itself.

"The course of history is often altered by an idea, springing forth like a well spring, either from some great truth or the denial of that same truth. The greater victories are thereby won for the sake of honor, honesty, nobility and grace and in spite those who perpetuate divisiveness for the sake of their own self aggrandizement." -- Haylen Greerson
