The Ghost Raiders

The political, economic, social, or religious differences among peoples have long been common seedbeds for agitation, eventually exploding into violent confrontation. Most of these differences have, over the millennia, stemmed not necessarily from the obvious extremes in wealth and political power, but from their excessive abuse. The Colonial Revolution was caused by the fomenting of many small and seemingly insignificant problems into an unavoidable confrontation. The French Revolution began upon the death of Louis the XV in the year 1774 with the storming of the Bastille, and lasted until 1789. The revolution was brought on by indifference and an aloof arrogance on the part of the aristocratic ruling class. Those who walked in the halls of political power became removed, standing above and apart from the people they governed. The instruments of government became a case of 'we against they,' and those who ruled assumed an attitude of 'our way or else.'

When sufficient numbers of people feel trapped with no alternative and no way out, the stage is set for violent and bloody social upheaval. Normally the outbreak of revolution is preceded, as it was in the case of the eighteenth century British Empire, by rulers with high sounding titles of nobility who looked down upon the people they ruled. These peasants, underclass’s, and commoners: the great unwashed - they are no match for our overwhelming power. We will crush them, and bring the survivors before our imperial justice.

The population of the United States has for many decades, been dividing themselves into three groups. Those believing in centralized overwhelming political power; those believing in limited, restricted, and benign government, and those who are willfully ignorant and indifferent [the I am into myself crowd.] This coupled with a deeply-held arrogance and certainty on the part of the ruling class and their bureaucracy; that more money, programs, and force will solved everything. The masses of citizenry out there, being unwashed and unclean - the unworthy of society - are incapable of managing their own affairs without us. They should be extremely thankful! These conditions that have been repeated time and time again by every empire throughout the ages are now being duplicated here in the states.

Many like me are staunch believers in social political change, rather than violent confrontations. Still we can not ignore the horrible course history could easily take, if we ourselves collectively are not diligent. Like our foes we have tended to either believe it could not happen here, or if it did happen, it would be during some far distant and future time. We tend to believe government is the answer for all social ills, and is so powerful that a revolution could never take place. There is an atrocious attitude on the part of the government whereby they looking upon the people, as did the British prior to the Colonial Revolution, as 'those rabble.'

These growing conditions are setting the stage for the bloodiest confrontation since the French Revolution. Allow me to give estimates on the destruction and loss of life that would likely take place! There will be approximately 25 million dead and at least 75 million wounded, maybe more. The burned and destroyed areas, if amassed into one single geographic location would equal the size of every inch of ground east of the Mississippi River. Most of our major cities, north, south, east and west will lay under ashes, including but not limited to; Atlanta, Columbia, Montgomery, Memphis, New York, Boston, Chicago, Richmond, and Washington DC. California will find a power shortage or a destructive major earthquake an easy ride in comparison. The fury against the ruling elite and the kingmakers which will follow will surpass the bitterness exacted in the past thousand years. They will be hunted down like wild beasts; agents of the partisans will even pursue them into foreign lands. In my youth, there were two words I was warned against, the words 'assume' and 'underestimate.' The fall of every empire since the Romans can be attributed to these two words, up to and including the Soviet Union.

How might such a revolution began and be conducted? It could begin many ways; possibly an extremely unpopular Supreme Court decision forced upon the people, in an age where an overwhelming percentage of the citizenry are amoral. Pickets and protest spread across the states, reminiscent of the anti-war rallies of the late 1960's and early 1970's. The National Guard will be called to duty and federalized! The federal government orders the dispersal of the crowds, which refuse. Fire hoses, tear gas, and other non-lethal crowd control methods escalate until shot rings out and the National Guard opens fire. Thousands lay dead or wounded! In frustration a portion of the Guardsman turns on their own, calling them murders and killers. A split in the armed forces begins, quite small at first. These initial few are hunted down on a multiple of charges. The unyielding force of federal power is brought to bear, once again believing it will save them from the masses of disgruntled people. The violence spreads as dozens, hundreds, and finally thousands of partisan groups spring up in retaliation. The people finally realize this is neither a republic nor a democracy, but a government bought and paid for by a consortium of rich Hollywood-types, liberal mass-media figures, bankers, think-tanks, and the international industrial complex.

The assumption will be that these partisans and other armed bands can be identified and rounded up by the federals. Since they are no more then traditional law violators and rioters, fighting in the streets and mountains [like Ruby Ridge and Waco!] However, having learned from others' past mistakes and knowing they are vulnerable to devastating federal firepower and technology, these groups form what I call 'Ghost Raiders,' for lack of a better name. Partisan groups, companies, and regiments which strike at random in a wide cross section of localities across the states, and in each case disappearing - leaving no trace. The federals find themselves fighting a growing army, one they can not see, and for all intents and purposes, don't even exist. Federal mistakes will multiply as they 'assume' and 'underestimate.' Believing in the might and power of their investigative agencies, with all their resources, they become overconfident. There is an inevitability of repeating the mindset and mistakes of the Caesar of Rome. Where is the almighty Roman Empire today, with all of its superior power? Dust!

There are far to many among our own numbers who seem to take too lightly the course which the future may likely take should we loose this ongoing political war; thus failing to treat it like a real war and using every means at our disposal [lawfully, peacefully, and honorably of course!] We collectively may or may not see these things come to pass in your lifetime [prayerfully not] but our descendants yet unborn will pay a high price for our self-centeredness and lack of strong, concrete action. Should it come, those who will not take unified action now, while it may be done in peace, Will do so when blood flows like a river. Beware my fellow compatriots, The Ghost Riders cometh!
