To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven:"  {Ecclesiastes 3:1}.  The time for the liberation and restoration of the Confederate States of America will soon come to pass, and in its own season according to the Divine Providence of Almighty God.  It is for those of us who believe fervently in the history, heritage, culture and nationhood of the South and of the Confederacy, should prepare ourselves toward that day.  We believe solely in lawful, peaceful and honorable means in carrying out our mission and purpose.  Therefore this document should be viewed in that light and according to those terms!

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."   - Thomas Jefferson

.Which option sounds more viable to you, a militia made up of 100 good ole boys who show up when and if the spirit moves or perhaps 100,000 or 1,000,000 sharp Legionnaires in Gray filling the streets with the greatest spectacle on earth.

The Confederate Legion is as we have indicated many times, a Confederate Ceremonial Honor Guard.  Let the issue be made clear to everyone concerned, those who would attempt to make of it a Militia or an Armed Force of whatever sort are not welcome in the Confederate Legion.  When our Confederate Armies surrendered in 1865 our cause entered into a new phase as President Jefferson Davis stated; "The contest is not over, the strife is not ended.  It has only entered upon a new and enlarged arena."
.
This means in essence that our struggle has entered into the political cultural arena and it is here that we will win the victory.  The Confederate Legion as a Confederate Ceremonial Honor Guard will in due course of time, be organized, trained, uniformed and equipped like unto an Army in every way possible, save that we will not be armed.  Departments other then an Army may be created, if deemed appropriate!
.
It is through this process that we will reconstitute those long gray lines of men in gray, prayerfully in such numbers the spectacle will gain the undivided attention of believers in the Confederate Cause, the general public, as well as the mass media.  Whereby we will be able to take our cause directly to ‘We the People’ and gain sufficient support in order to achieve the liberation of the Confederate States of America.  You can help make it happen by spreading word, as regarding the Confederate Legion and this website!

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace.  We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."  --Samuel Adams

“God governs in the affairs of man.  And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?  We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.  I firmly believe this.  I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel” Constitutional Convention of 1787 | original manuscript of this speech … Benjamin Franklin
