“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, right dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." {II Timothy 2:15}. This verse refers to the need to study the Word of God that we may know of Almighty God, in Christ Jesus, the Holy Scripture and Pray. It is not enough to know of God and the Holy Scriptures intellectually, to have been raised in Church or even to be a member.

“God is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." {John 4:24}. The afore-quoted verse says, “… rightly dividing the world of truth” thus we should study to show ourselves approved unto God. In like manner we should study the truths of the Confederate Cause, that we might fight a good fight, finish our course and keep the faith." {II Timothy 47}. The type of websites we browse is an indicator as to whether or not we are doing seeking that truth, as indicated in the Scriptures, the Confederate Legion is an excellent place to begin.

We have all read or were told the story of Little David and Goliath in the Holy Scriptures, and how he brought down the giant with a smooth stone, hurled from his trusty sling. We today do not fully appreciate the fact that David was facing a colossus, whose armor was like unto a human battle tank, and few of us can relate to exactly what it was that Little David managed to accomplish, when he decked the giant of the Philistine Army. If we translate the story into an experience we face today, it would be like a man armed with only a 22 gauge rifle facing down an ‘Abrams Battle Tank’ and winning. Through the grace and divine providence of Almighty God, we can prove victorious. Let us seek always to be found worthy of his good graces!

“The fear of the Lord, is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” {Proverbs 1:7}. If our modern public educational system began with this verse, crime rates would be so low police work would be boring. Additionally, there would be little or no drug problem, house breaking or burglaries and the scholastic standing of our graduates would be the highest on earth. The blessing of God would also fall upon our economics, politics and financial systems!
