The Southern People are above all peoples upon the earth lovers of music, and that through a very long tradition of composing, playing and singing a variety of music.  All of which have proven to be extremely inspiring to everyone concerned.  We find that all of the music we hear on radio and recording, or view over television and the various video devices are of Southern origin, save for Classical, Rapp and Hip Hop.  There is no insult intended toward those who love Rapp and Hip Hop but these forms are not music in the truest meaning of the word, but are more related to cultic chants, then to music.

In any case the musical notes are by and large identical, with only a lyric variation, and there exists no special music or singing talent found to be present or necessary, only a rhythmic chant and sway.  The so called music form called Hip Hop is merely an offshoot of Rapp, and fit’s the same identical description being a non-music form.  That multi-millions of dollars in profits are gained from its production and sales can never make it a true music, only a popular fad.

All the other forms of music require a talent and skill for composing, singing and playing of musical instruments, not-with-standing an enormous taste for the various chosen forms.  The Southern People on the other hand are responsible for Blue Grass, Country, Western, Rock and Roll, Jazz, Dixieland as well as Confederate Music, which due to the rising demand must now be classified in its own category.

Then there is the greatest of all forms, which was made popular by Southerners, and is commonly known as Southern Gospel Music.  This last but most import music form has always been common in our Churches.  Today three quarters of all Gospel Singing Groups are Southerners, and it should be noted that an equal percentage of all the Ministers of the Gospel are Southerners.

My advise is ‘Sing Southerners Sing’  for it is a valued and joyful characteristic of our people!

C.S.A. News offers the below links to Confederate and Southern music, as a small few examples of many which might be listed. These have always been among the favorites, and have brought joy throughout the years. It is hope you will enjoy them!
