The Confederate Candidate
We have an opportunity to gain those people's complete undivided attention and increase our number to where the Confederate Cause becomes a powerful political force capable of liberating the Confederate States of America.
"If there is any piece of wisdom to be gleaned from history it is this: There are those who simply follow the trend, and then there are those who shape the course of history. It is not always the scholarly, the great and the mighty which step forward when others procrastinate in complacency and compromise. Often it is the humble and the common man who sees the need, accepts the responsibility and takes firm action" --- Alexander Trimble
The Confederate Cause will soon find itself in the middle of the coming 2008 General Elections and there are ways in which we can take advantage, possibly even turning the tide in our favor. Confederates who campaign for office begin with a severe disadvantage; should they manage to win they have only a very small chance of making gains on a Confederate Agenda, particularly where confederate history, heritage and culture are involved. Therefore this campaign must be based upon Confederate States Nationalism; our time for fielding such a candidate is rapidly wasting away so we must move quickly.
There may be a few who enter the race for some particular local, state or national office; the chances for success while possible, still it is highly unlikely we will see more then a few miniscule gains, if any. Why then should anyone campaign for public office under these circumstances? The reasons are related to dominating the topic of discussion and gaining the undivided attention of the mass media as well as the electorate. This of necessity should be our mission and purpose!
Therefore everyone is asked to help encourage a particular type of Confederate to campaign for a high office such as President or Senator. The person we are looking for should be highly charismatic, dynamic and able to attract large crowds. It is essential for the person to understand; his mission is to gain the national and indeed the international spotlight in behalf of the Confederate Cause. We are looking for someone prepared to stand on a Confederate States nationalist and patriot platform.
The platform spoken of here is covered on a webpage titled ‘Our Unalienable Rights’ - http://www.confederate-states-of-america.com/Our_Unalienable_Rights.html so before setting out to look for our ideal candidate it is advisable to log onboard and read this webpage. The Confederate Candidate selected should is campaigning primarily for the purpose of setting the political arena on fire thereby shifting the center of attention away from the two major political parties toward the Confederate Cause.
There will be those who will name some particular person who normally has never proven the capability of attracting large crowds nor of gaining the undivided attention of the mass media or the electorate. The individual far too often has little or no charisma and has not displayed any type of dynamic characteristics. If a potential candidate fails these crucial tests he may be an outstanding Confederate, but unless matches the prerequisites we achieve absolutely nothing in choosing him as our ideal Confederate Candidate.
Again everyone is urged to search for that person who has that certain something sometimes referred to as ‘the right stuff’ and encourage him to register and campaign for national public office. Remember, we must be certain the individual will be seen over the mass media and become the topic of discussion. Our chosen candidate must be the topic of discussion in every home, office and coffee shop. Before recommending someone asks the critical questions; can the individual I am recommending literally do these things?
The candidate mentioned in this article is not a Southern campaigning on history, heritage and culture nor will his platform be based upon Southern patriotism and nationalism. This candidate will be Confederate and his platform will be Confederate States nationalism and patriotism. He will believe completely and totally in all things both Confederate and Southern, standing upon the Proclamation of Independence as his mission and purpose. Short of all fulfilling those items mentioned herein, we will be wasting both our time as well as a golden opportunity. Amen and Amen!
God save the Confederacy
"Victory is for those with the persistence and fortitude to resist the temptation to withdraw or whose resolve has been tempered, when conditions worsen and the cost rises. It is not for the weak hearted, nor those who are softened by the ease and comfort of a gilded cage, provided by the enemy at the cost of liberty. It is for those who continue to fight the good fight, even after others who have gone before, having faced overwhelming numbers and firepower found themselves unable to complete the mission." --- Jay Buckner
"We Seek to Achieve the National, Political, Social and Economic independence of the Confederate States of America by all lawful, peaceful and honorable means. We believe the Confederate States of America should be liberated and restored under the Confederate States Constitution. That national Confederate States elections should be arranged in order to fill the now valid but vacant seat in the Confederate States Government."
Such a stand is honorable as far as it goes but regretfully it will gain us absolutely nothing unless these few are politicians with more influence then has ever been exercised by any office holder to date. What is needed is not so much a candidate who can win, though that would be welcomed, but we need a charismatic, dynamic Confederate Candidate who is an attention getter.
The mission and purpose of our modern Confederate Cause is to liberate the Confederacy, not to restore the Grand Ole Republic. Therefore the topic of discussed in the 'The Confederate Candidate' is crucial as a tool in gaining the undivided attention of the mass media, the bureaucracy as well as the electorate; thereby obtaining a necessary platform from which to turn our small few in to huge numbers.

The issue being presented here is that everyone who feels they should campaign for political office should by all means throw their hat in the arena. None-the-less we should as Confederates look at the realities of the situation; let us begin by asking a few crucial questions. Each year untold billons are spent in order to bring public attention to various commercial products. In like manner upwards of half a billion will be spent on a single leading candidate's presidential campaign.
The purpose should be self evident to all of us; they wish to draw public attention to themselves, their product or a particular candidate. We as Confederates have failed thus far to comprehend how this very concept, if utilized by Confederates, would turn the tide in favor of our just and honorable cause. Since we lack the billions necessary for an ongoing advertising blitz in behalf the Confederate Cause, therefore we must use other means.
Quite simply we need the greatest attention getter of the modern era; call this attention getter a fire-eater or a mass media phenomenon, but it would be highly advisable to field such a candidate. The person selected need not be a serious candidate as such, rather the political office and the candidate should be chosen based solely on his ability to draw attention to the our cause to liberated the Confederate States of America.
Find and field such a candidate early in the 2008 campaign and the cause will be launched into the public debate, thereby becoming the central issue of discussion leading into the general elections. This will result in an enormous increase in our numbers, making it possible for Confederates to become the deciding factor. Again the issue is the same whether spotlighting a commercial product or a particular candidate; gain the undivided attention of the mass media as well as the electorate.
Victory for our cause is possible, but it will not be presented to us on a golden platter; it is ours to win or loose!
