The First Commandment

"Thou shalt have no other god's before me"

While in High School one of my poorer subjects was English Usage, and the teacher would have been justified in believing her student wasn't learning anything, for all the time spent in her class.  Well she would have been right in one sense, and wrong in another.  I learned something that I never forgot, that being words not to be capitalized, and one of them was the word god, when speaking of a false god.  The word God is only to be capitalized when referring to the Almighty God.  I never forgot that part of the lesson plan!  The remainder came to be later, when I became a Yeoman in the Coast Guard, and eventually a Chief Yeoman, thereby managing the Personnel Office.

There are many false religions around the globe, and among the marks of a false religion is to kill, hate and call others Infidel, then believe they do god favor.  Another is to spread their religion throughout the world, by the use of force, exampled by beheading Christians for their belief and faith, in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  The God of the Hebrew Christian Scriptures is God, and there is none other. God is a God of love, not of hate, and God does not slaughter the innocent!  God's name is Jehovah, and the Great I AM, rather then a name derived from a false god, the ancient pagan Moon god.

The one true and living God, is God of all; he is one God in three persons or manifestations, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.  Christ Jesus the Son of God, died for all people of all times, and for those of all religions, we need only to confess that we are sinners.  Then believe in Him, and ask him for forgiveness, inviting him to come into your heart, and become a living witness.  Thereby making Jesus the Master and Lord of your life; in Him you are a new man or woman!

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God ... " {II Timothy 2:15}.  The best translation of the Holy Bible from the original into English, is the King James Version.  See King James Version at the top of the page, or log onto the Alphabetical Menu and browse down the list, until you find the King James Version listed.

To God be the glory!
