Charge to the Confederate Legion

"To you, The Confederate Legion, we commit the vindication of our history, heritage, culture and nationhood of the Confederate States of America. To your dedication and devotion we commission the charge to become political lobbyists and activists. Thereby causing our people to regain the strength necessary with which to terminate the political and cultural genocide being waged against all things Confederate and Southern. To you, we charge the restoration of the Southern Culture to dominance in a modern context, and the Confederate States of America to the status of an independent nation according to the Confederate States Constitution.

Not in the slothfulness of indifference, Nor in order to walk in the halls of power, But for future generations yet unborn."

The Protocol of Flags

The Confederate legion as an entity is similar in nature to an umbrella with several subsidiaries underneath; these are the Confederate Legion Youth Corps and the Southern Belles.  The Confederate Legion itself is not included on this list because it is the umbrella organization.  The first title is the Branch; the Confederate Legion Youth Corps and the Southern Belles are branches.   Another is the Department; the Confederate Legion - Army, Navy, Marines, Air Corps and Border Patrol are all departments.

There is still another title which is the Division; each State organizations is a division and this title as used here should not be confused with the term division as used by the Army to describe a unit of approximately 15,000 men.   Additionally there will eventually arise an occasion when the commanders of all of our branches, departments and or divisions are assembled in a single location.  When this occurs they shall jointly be referred to as the 'Confederate Legion Combined National Staff.'

"We Seek to Achieve the National, Political, Social and Economic independence of the Confederate States of America by all lawful, peaceful and honorable means. We believe the Confederate States of America should be liberated and restored under the Confederate States Constitution. That national Confederate States elections should be arranged in order to fill the now valid but vacant seat in the Confederate States Government."
